Good Morning!


NetBump.com - BackupEngine Help - How To Install This writeup is to install the BackupEngine from start to finish on Windows XP Professional.
If you already have some components, several steps will be skipped.

First navigate to BackupEngine Install and then follow the example below.


The version number might be different, however the concept should be the exact same. Click the install button.


Your browser will prompt you to do something, and you should select run.


We are not currently a verified publisher, so you get a couple of warnings during install. Just select run.


If you do not have the Windows Installer 3.1 update installed, you will be prompted to accept the license here.


If you do not have the VisualStudio.Net 3.5 Framework installed, you will be prompted to accept the license here.


If you do not have the VisualStudio.Net 3.5 Framework SP1 update installed, you will be prompted to accept the license here.


The setup utility will then download the required files from NetBump.com and Microsoft's site.


Once done the download you may be required to reboot.


When the computer restarts you are prompted to run an unverified publisher's setup. Selecting run installs the downloaded components.


Installing the various components can take quite some time.


Another reboot is required


When the system restarts, you get the same prompt about the installer, click run.


Click install to install the BackupEngine software itself now.


This step only takes a short amount of time compared to the rest of the install


Thats it, the BackupEngine is now running in the system tray.
